how are you feeling the recession?

It's awful, unemployment rates are ridiculous in my state.

I must admit as an Australian student I am not really too drastically affected by the recession-I'm just as poor as I was before, with my gov't allowance. but also I have also been really employable, having worked since I was 14, and worked hard, so I have always been offered working positions and wouldnt be too disadvantaged trying to get a job, especially in retail. HOWEVER my dad is a truck driver, and the recession is hitting truckies pretty bad as there is less work-also a by-product of the increase in fuel costs.

my country is poor anyways so we have nothing to fear or lose
and after is finish my studies i will change things and the recession will be over

After having finished my compulsory military service a few months ago, I couldn't continue it because they said my health was not good enough to be a professional. So I've been looking for a job so far, there have been a few interviews, almost got one, but later found out it went to a relative of one of the current employees - who failed massively at the first day by showing up with aftereffects of a hard night's party at work... And I still didn't get the job. *sigh*
