I see we're building democracy one civilian kidnapping at a time. Suddenly I'm not so puzzled about why we refused to be a part of the International Criminal Court.

Col. David Hogg, commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division, said tougher methods are being used to gather the intelligence. On Wednesday night, he said, his troops picked up the wife and daughter of an Iraqi lieutenant general. They left a note: "If you want your family released, turn yourself in." Such tactics are justified, he said, because, "It's an intelligence operation with detainees, and these people have info." They would have been released in due course, he added later. The tactic worked. On Friday, Hogg said, the lieutenant general appeared at the front gate of the U.S. base and surrendered. |

Not kidnapping detaining for questioning. They were going to be released later but this was a bluff that ended up working. |
Well, that's OK then. For a second when I heard we were seizing innocent women and children and leaving notes that they'd be released if people did what we wanted, that we might not still be the good guys. But as long as we say after the fact that we wouldn't really have hurt them, I guess it's all good. Doubtless the Iraqis will appreciate the subtlety.
Haha, he says the wife and daughter of the Iraqi general were "picked up" like they found them on the side of the highway looking for a ride to Tikrit. I guess getting "picked up" sounds nicer than your home being broken into by 10 marines in the early morning hours and being forced into a van at gunpoint.

Please, you idiot.
STFU:)
We hold a woman and a child hostage and they kill hundreds of thousands of people for not liking Saddam and for not winning in the f*****g olympics and you question who the terrorists are?
Give me a break. If you want Husseins c**k so bad then please by all means go to Iraq.
This thread is a joke
Edit- I wanted to congradulate Rennol for a superior come back to Kbarr. You STFU. No you STFU. That is all.

Why don't you STFU Kbarr? How would you like it if some Iraqi's showed up at your house and took your son and whatever chick you are banging right now? (Not sure if you're married or not, just the allusions of "plenty of trim") |
It's not just any ol' citizen they're after, dumbfuck. It's an Iraqi general. Do you think Hitler's generals should have gotten off scott free, you f*****g liberal?

Scientist != general. The US didn't take in any German generals.

The US took in scientists, you bimbo. Not people who had anything to do with the death camps.
If you were a german general in the army, in charge of a tank battalion lets say, you were not considered a war criminal. If you were a private working in a death camp you were guilty of war crimes for the most part.
Some scientist working on rockets in a lab is not the same as Mengele who did experiments on humans.

He said he has two patrols on the streets of Bayji at any given time. His troops are still attacked, but as a result of the new tactics, "It is a lot quieter -- about half as much contact as in May." |
Yea because they probally killed half the town

Hobbet go look at Kbarr's posts, 90% of them contain the words "STFU" and "you idiot" usually in that order and not containing much else extra. |
What the f**k do I need to say to an idiot or an a*****e or a f*****g dope MORE than STFU you IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!
I ask again, why do I need to explain to an idiot, WHY hes an idiot?
So, bearing that in mind, I give you this!

Well half the town are probably ex military that didn't fight in the war. They just waited for us to move in and now are popping up as guerillas. Killing half the town might be a great idea:)
