I see we're building democracy one civilian kidnapping at a time. Suddenly I'm not so puzzled about why we refused to be a part of the International Criminal Court.

Not kidnapping detaining for questioning. They were going to be released later but this was a bluff that ended up working.

Well, that's OK then. For a second when I heard we were seizing innocent women and children and leaving notes that they'd be released if people did what we wanted, that we might not still be the good guys. But as long as we say after the fact that we wouldn't really have hurt them, I guess it's all good. Doubtless the Iraqis will appreciate the subtlety.
Haha, he says the wife and daughter of the Iraqi general were "picked up" like they found them on the side of the highway looking for a ride to Tikrit. I guess getting "picked up" sounds nicer than your home being broken into by 10 marines in the early morning hours and being forced into a van at gunpoint.

It is kind of a joke except for the fact that this isn't a terrorist we're talking about..
Hobbet go look at Kbarr's posts, 90% of them contain the words "STFU" and "you idiot" usually in that order and not containing much else extra.

If you were a german general in the army, in charge of a tank battalion lets say, you were not considered a war criminal. If you were a private working in a death camp you were guilty of war crimes for the most part.

Well half the town are probably ex military that didn't fight in the war. They just waited for us to move in and now are popping up as guerillas. Killing half the town might be a great idea:)
