Take solice in knowing that Costco will be there, with overnight shipping for all your casket needs.

You can pay $12k for casket brand B at a funeral home, or pay $2k + shipping ($1k?) for a costco one. I don't see the big deal. Funeral homes are a very profitable business, and grieving people should have choices.

Anyway, people who follow the wasteful tradition of pickling and entombing dead ones have no room to talk about 'class' or 'tact'.

No kidding. Even $2k is a ridiculous amount to spend on a dead person box. Personally when I die they can just skip the fancy silk-lined box and just dump $50 worth of concrete into a form, put me in the middle, and bury that.

They say bodies are full of toxins, and don't necessarily make good fertilizer, but I'm pretty sure the organic bags which define our shape would do the deep ocean critters some good.

If you are over twelve he'll refuse you!

There is nothing wrong with being frugal on a funeral, the person is dead. If you wanna blow your life savings burying someone, be my guest, it is your money to p**s away. To most people dropping 12-15k on a funeral is a serious chunk of cash. Both the funeral home and VISA love funerals.

well im a donar so my body will be swept away harvested for usables then tossed in the furnace.

i told steve he can do whatever he wants with my ashes, keep em in a vase, scatter them to the wind, burry em, seal em up in a zip lock baggy, snort em up his nose for all i care.

im just glad noone will ever be burdened with having to buy me a casket, from a funeral home or costco, and stuff me in a hole in the ground.
