His opening paragraph describes three scenarios that are already a reality: a robot that can open doors and track down an electrical outlet to recharge itself, machines that are very close to killing humans autonomously, and unstoppable computer viruses and worms that have reached a "cockroach" stage of machine intelligence.

Why not zombies? like resident evil. Like, i wanna go dress up skimpy and get some machine guns to fight zombies.. but robots, i dont think so...lol. they'd probably control everything and have alot more weapons

AI is just simulated intelligence. Everything is programmed. A robot couldn't turn on someone by its own will, the decision would have to be programmed (or a glitch would have to trigger it). We only need to worry about this for "robots" that use actual brain cells. Lucky that technology is very very limited as of now. Even then, the "brain waves" could be monitored and interrupted if needed.
