Need EverQuest 2 Crafting help

Hello. I have tried all blood and axe, economy based games (that’s how I call D&D and MMORPG’s ) so far except this one. And I never liked the way that fighter classes are acting, my choice was over ranged killers, always. So, is there something what I should know about it, some kind of help, or this game explains everything needed no matter my taste? Thanks in advance.
You want to be a crafter? In Everquest 2 the crafters are called Artisians. As usual as in any other game alike, before you start crafting you are going to need that skill, resources and various recipes. Keep in mind that crafting in this game can be very long job, and that it can keep you away from the real life for much longer than expected.
