Do dwarves level up through crafting in LIneage 2?

I would like to create a dwarf in Lineage II. So I would like to get answers to a couple of questions. First off, how is the crafting system managed? Does crafting practicing make exp for level up? Also, dwarves can be fighters only? This is what I so at the official site.
Dwarves can level through crafting, of course. As for your other question – the only primary class they can select is fighter class. But after class transfer you can select one of two paths according which your dwarf will be developed. So it’s either the scavenger >> fortune seeker, or the artisan >> maestro.
